Charity Hockey Game Hits Fife!
There has already been an overwhelming response to the event which takes prime time ice on Saturday 18th April 2020, and it looks like its going to have the full match night treatment.
The brain child of Help for Heroes Team Captain, Reece Paul, the charity event has grown from what seemed like a pipe dream into the full blown Saturday Night event you can see unfolding before your very eyes.
“I wanted to hold an event in my home town to not only raise awareness of the Allstars tournament, but also get the loyal hockey fans involved in something a little bit different to end the official season. It gives the regulars at FIA an extra chance to come along for 1 more Saturday night, watch a different but fun game of hockey - and hopefully donate a shed load to a great cause!”
The game itself will see a mixture of beer league, semi-pro and professional / ex professional players from across the country (and beyond). There will be some familiar faces in amongst the line up, with final confirmation due over the next few days, it feels like an absolute steal only being charged £5 for an adult ticket.
On the night, you will get the full ‘Old Barn’ experience with match night announcements, stalls, raffles, 50/50 prize draw, and of course - as it is in Fife - the bar will be open for business! There is still more to be announced, but that is being kept under wraps for the time being.
