The UK Charity Allstars organising Committee are delighted to reveal the names of the 8 fundraisers who will lead their teams for the Sheffield 18 tournament weekend.
The Captains are as follows:
Blue Cross – Nic Vidler
Breast Cancer Care – Sam Phillips
British Heart Foundation – Mat Gilday
Dreams Come True – Ryan Davis
Help For Heroes – Jeff Coverdale
Mind – Adam Clark
Prostate Cancer – Danny Langhorn
Sheffield Childrens Hospital – Andrew Barton
We have contacted all 8 Captains to inform them and we will be announcing the teams in full tomorrow New Year's Day 2018, as is our tradition, at 4pm.
We welcome two new teams to the roster this year - Sheffield Children's Hospital returns following our two year stay in Cardiff, and we have added Mind, the mental health support Charity as a permanent Allstars team moving forwards.
Allstars Chairman Paul Sullivan said,
'We're thrilled to welcome these 8 Captains to the Allstars for Sheffield '18, with 6 first-time leaders on the roster. The role of Captain is the most important one of the whole Allstars weekend and beyond - not only do they lead their teams on the ice but more importantly they mentor, support and drive their teams to fundraise in new, creative ways so we can keep up the incredible legacy of the Allstars.
Additionally, the Captains are the first point of contact with our 8 Charities, ensuring that all plans and efforts are best coordinated to make the weekend a success.
We thank these 8 Allstars for stepping up and wearing the 'C' and we look forward to seeing they new and exciting ideas they will bring to raise funds for our deserving causes.'
The 2018 Allstars weekend will take place in Ice Sheffield on July 28th and 29th. For more information on how to get involved and support the weekend, please email info@ukcharityallstars.com.
